Epsom Salt
Magnesium sulfate is commonly called Epsom salt. It is
an inorganic salt containing magnesium, sulfur and oxygen, with the formula MgSO4. The Name EPSOM is taken
from a bitter saline spring in Epsom in Surrey England, where the salt was
produced from the springs.
Magnesium and sulfate both are easily
absorbed through the skin, therefore Epsom salt baths are perfect for getting
amazing health benefits.
Magnesium plays an important role in the body starting
from regulating the activity of over 325 enzymes, reducing inflammation,
helping muscle and nerve function and helping to prevent artery hardening.,
whereas Sulfates help improve the absorption of nutrients, flush toxins and
help ease migraine headaches.
From relaxing the nervous system to
curing skin problems, soothing back pain and aching limbs, easing muscle
strain, healing cuts, treating cold and congestion, and drawing toxins from the
body. Epsom salt has beneficial properties that can soothe the body, mind and
soul
Stress drains away our magnesium and
increases the levels of adrenaline.
It is said the individuals with autism and down syndrome magnesium is very useful.
Common problems to individuals with DS such as oxidative stress and neuro degenerative processes as well as symptoms such as teeth grinding, sensitivity to sound, some forms of stimming and constipation often accompany a magnesium deficiency. Epsom salt when dissolved in warm water, is
absorbed through the skin and balances the magnesium level in the body. The
magnesium helps to produce serotonin, a mood-elevating hormone that keeps us
calm and relaxed. Also magnesium increases energy and stamina. It is believed
that bathing with Epsom salt at least three times a week helps you to look
better, feel better and gain more energy. Magnesium ions improves sleep and
concentration.

and migraine headaches, heal cuts and reduce soreness from childbirth, it even

Magnesium in Epsom salt is useful for
absorbtion of calcium in our body, which serves as a
main conductor of the electric
impulses in your body. It also helps prevent heart disease and
strokes by improving blood circulation, protecting the elasticity of arteries,
preventing blood clots and reducing the risk of sudden heart attack deaths. Proper
magnesium and sulfate levels increase the effectiveness of insulin in the body,
helping in lowing the risk of diabetes.
Constipation can be treated by taking Epsom
salt orally. The salt acts like a laxative by increasing water in the
intestines. However, it is strictly warned that Epsom salts should not be used
to relieve constipation without the consultation of a physician.
